NVP 2026 ELECTION Statements
President
Vice President
Don Kennedy - It's my desire to continue as your vice president. When I first took up cycling, I rode solo, not realizing how much more enjoyable riding with a group could be. Since joining the club, I've made many lasting friendships and look forward to another year of club rides.
Clerk
Treasurer
Rick Bean - As a club member for twenty years and the club treasurer for half of those years, it is something I enjoy doing to support our club.
Board of Directors
Kathy Horvath - I am a candidate for director at large to give back to the club through my 20 years experience as a cyclist. Camaraderie on the rides and interesting routes, both new and old, are the issues I will prioritize. I will continue to lead rides and as a participant I will solicit input from members about their experience and ideas for improvement. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
Bill McCarthy - I’m looking forward to joining the board again. As many of you know, I enjoy riding and supporting NVP. Some of the key goals I have for the 2024 term are as follows:
Take a leading role to recognize and reward the key club contributors
Advocate for improved communication to the member base (Personnel changes, etc)
Continue to manage the club membership/waiver process with BikeReg
Renee Rees -
Rupert Schmidtberg - I’m a new member of NVP and have been participating in weekday rides. I’m thoroughly enjoying these rides and the companionship of other riders. Having recently retired (end of June), I have more free time and would be happy to become more engaged and help with NVP club activities in a Director at Large capacity.
