NVP 2026 ELECTION Statements
President
Howie Davidson - For the past several years I have acted as past president, and have helped the club run in the background. As they finish converting me to a cyborg, I will once again be able to lead rides, and I'm looking for your support as President.
Vice President
Don Kennedy - It's my desire to continue as your vice president. When I first took up cycling, I rode solo, not realizing how much more enjoyable riding with a group could be. Since joining the club, I've made many lasting friendships and look forward to another year of club rides.
Clerk - Open
Treasurer
Rick Bean - As a club member for twenty years and the club treasurer for half of those years, it is something I enjoy doing to support our club.
Board of Directors
Emil Chiauzzi - I've been associated with NVP since I began cycling regularly and value the friends I have made and the experiences I have had on our rides. I have served as president of the club in the past and would like to contribute again as a director.
Kathy Horvath - I am a candidate for director at large to give back to the club through my 20 years experience as a cyclist. Camaraderie on the rides and interesting routes, both new and old, are the issues I will prioritize. I will continue to lead rides and as a participant I will solicit input from members about their experience and ideas for improvement. Thank you for considering my candidacy.
Renee Rees - My first NVP ride was 5 days after I moved from Maryland to Massachusetts 2 ⅟₂ years ago. Prior to my move, I learned of the club’s existence when I spotted a cyclist wearing an NVP jersey on one of my solo rides while visiting my daughter in West Medford. Joining NVP gave me companionship with a friendly group of riders as I explored my new biking territory. In Maryland, I was active in the Baltimore Bicycling Club for over 25 years, including serving on their board for nine years in various capacities (Member-at-Large, VP, and president). I plan to use that experience to guide my contributions to NVP if elected as Director at Large.
